We are very excited to announce our free introductory course on pharmacy informatics. The goal of this course is provide a general overview of pharmacy informatics to individuals who do not know what it entails. Topics include:
- What is Pharmacy Informatics?
- What is the Medication Use Process?
- How can pharmacists play a role in integrating technology and informatics into healthcare?
- Where can you go to learn more about the pharmacy informatics field?
This introductory course is for pharmacy students or pharmacists who are new to pharmacy informatics.
What This Course IS:
This course is a basic, high-level introduction to the field of pharmacy informatics.
What This Course IS NOT:
This course is not a certification or certificate program. This course does not provide detailed instructions on how to navigate through specific informatics tools, but rather shared concepts that can be applied to different vendors and technologies that exist.
This is NOT a golden ticket into pharmacy informatics. It may be important to understand the realities of Pharmacy Informatics and why Pharmacy Informatics might not be for you. With that being said, we hope you enjoy the course!
